The Pastoral Team of the City Tabernacle is made up of two pastors who between them have a wide range of ministry experience.

Whilst each of our pastors are thoroughly committed to the ministry of the Gospel and the shepherding of the people of God, they each serve in differing capacities. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 
 
 
 
 
 
Richard   

Interim Senior Pastor – Rev. Richard Kingham

Richard grew up on a farm in the Orange / Bathurst area of NSW. After completing a Business degree he worked as an accountant for 11 years. In 1985 Richard moved to Brisbane where he completed theological studies at the Baptist (Malyon) College. His first appointment was to Highfields Baptist, then to a role as Coordinator and later Leader of Mission to Queensland.

While working with MTQ Richard held various other positions with Queensland Baptists including Director of Special Focus Services and Acting Director of Church Extension Services.

 From 2000 to 2012 Richard served at Cleveland Baptist, helping the church transition into a new worship facility. He retired from Cleveland in August 2012 and in 2013 helped to facilitate the amalgamation of Bayside and Eastside Baptist Churches. Richard completed a 17 month interim ministry at Beenleigh Baptist, then in 2015 he became the Interim Pastor at Rosewood Baptist Church. Richard has served as Interim Pastor at the City Tabernacle Baptist Church since February 2016.

Pastor to the City – Pastor Mark Redman

In his mid-twenties, Mark was youth leader at the Uniting Church and Citipointe Church Caloundra. He became a trainee Pastor on a cadetship program at Nexus Church Everton Park. After completing an Advanced Diploma in Christian Ministry with Strikeforce Bible College in 2002, Mark then completed a Bachelor of Ministry (Pastoral Studies) with Malyon College in 2005. Following his studies, he was appointed Pastor of Logan City Baptist Church and for 5 years Mark and his dedicated leadership team grew the declining church into a thriving church focused on outreach to the surrounding area.

In 2009 Mark completed a Master of Arts in Ministry at Malyon College. In 2013- 2014 he took on Ministries to the City under the City Tabernacle Baptist Church’s T4T program. In 2016 Mark returned to the City Tabernacle Baptist Church as Pastor to the City and ministers in various roles including Religious Instruction at Brisbane Central State School, English Connection Leader - a Christian English teaching program, Boys’ Brigade Leader, Men’s Ministry Leader, Special Care Coordinator, Home Group Bible study leader, and Preacher. Mark’s wife Eve and their two daughters are also involved in ministries of the church.
