The Pastoral Team of the City Tabernacle is made up of three pastors who between them have a wide range of ministry experience.

Whilst each of our pastors are thoroughly committed to the ministry of the Gospel and the shepherding of the people of God, they each serve in differing capacities. 

Associate Pastor Rev Rowan Evans

As we search for a new Senior Pastor, it is my privilege to minister to our both our church and civic communities. The Gospel of God's work for us in Jesus atoning life, death, resurrection and ascension have massive implications not just for how we begin our Christian journey, but also how we progress along the journey, how we honour God in all things, and how we are to function within our broader society.

God has been gracious in raising up a new generation at the Tabernacle. We strive to be a church that takes seriously (and enjoys the blessings of) God calling people of all ages, backgrounds, racial groups together through the Lord Jesus.

Pastoral Care Pastor John Williams

(Pastoral Care Pastor)

I just praise our Lord Jesus Christ for the honour and privilege of serving the City Tabernacle as the Associate Pastor with the responsibility for Pastoral Care. My wife Lynne has been one of the Baptist Hospital Chaplains for many years and brings that love of caring and sharing into this ministry with me. It is our privilege to walk alongside those who are ill, or lonely, or elderly and those who are experiencing loss, and of course our hope is to be able to visit pastorally all the members of our fellowship to encourage them in their walk with our Lord Jesus. We thank God for the joy of being a part of the Pastoral Team.

 Pastor John Pirrotta

Both John and Sharon came from turbulent beginnings, until the grace of God transformed each of them, and began to work in their rocky marriage.

Together, they sensed God’s calling to serve Him. After Bible College studies, John began pastoring a church in Melbourne. God then challenged John and Sharon to go to Italy and serve him in the very spiritually needy place, Milan.

John and Sharon have a real passion for Jesus and for people. Together they manage the Church's ‘Willara House’ ministry (a residential house for young ladies studying / working in Brisbane). John is also working with the Church's 'Towards 4000' ministry seeking to help connect the heart of Brisbane with the heart of God.
